New York Fashion Week Highlights
Robert Geller, Perry Ellis, Phillip Lim
These first 4 outfits designed by Robert Geller set this season of to a promising start, the silhouette of the trousers slightly high waisted with the slim belts sitting just below the waistband. Overall this collection is very dark for spring summer though the charcoals are softened by the khaki and hints of red. The split pannel T is something that I have seen through the New York collections and am optimistic that I will see more. This silhouette continues and takes us in to Perry Ellis...I love the pocket detailing and the experiment with the horizontal panels and stripes.
TO finish are two pieces from Phillip Lim, this shirt is amazing, I love the mix of horizontal panneling and vertical stripe. The pale pastel blue of this suit really stands out from the selection of dark shades, a beautiful strong colour for this season.
